Re-established in 2012, the Bermuda Youth Orchestra (BYO) welcomes focused and dedicated musicians from all across the island.  With its members ranging in age from 11 – 25, it is the only youth orchestra on the island and is a catch-all organization for four smaller units: symphonic orchestra, string orchestra, wind band, and jazz orchestra.  The first public performance was on the steps of City Hall, Bermuda, in February 2013.

By its mission, the BYO is committed to bringing together Bermuda’s young musicians with the purpose of providing developmental learning and performance opportunities across a variety of genres while fostering cooperation and progress towards musical excellence.

BYO students are provided unique opportunities to work, study, and play with the finest instructors and musicians on the island.  In addition to the exclusive workshop performances and master classes held for its members, the orchestra puts on two concert annually: one each in the fall and the spring.

You Can Help Too!
